<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell using a solid electrolyte with excellent performance. <P>SOLUTION: This dye-sensitized solar cell has a porous semiconductor layer, having porosity of 50-80% in which dye is adsorbed between a pair of conductive base board, and gel electrolyte containing redox material and solvent capable of dissolving the redox species in a mesh structure made of polymer compound. A mixed solvent containing ethylene carbonate is preferable as the solvent. At least one of the conductive base board is transparent, and the conductive film of gold, silver, aluminum, indium, indium oxide, or tin oxide is formed on a metal plate base board or the base board made of glass plate or transparent plastic sheet or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
