PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a high speed traveling of a connection operation and each single operation in a connection type vehicle of a wheeled vehicle and a crawler vehicle. SOLUTION: In this connection type vehicle 1, the wheeled vehicle 2 and the crawler vehicle 3 are arranged on an advancing direction front side and a rear side, respectively. The wheeled vehicle 2 and the crawler vehicle 3 are connected by a connection means 4 having a degree of freedom. The wheeled vehicle 2 is an engine driving vehicle, a part of driving force generated in the engine is converted into power by an electric motor directly connected to the engine, and the power is transmitted to a battery of the crawler vehicle 3 via a transmission line and a connector. The crawler vehicle 3 has the electric motor driven by the battery. When both of the vehicles are separated by the connection means 4, each vehicle is made separately steerable for traveling.
