PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly correct a color balance of a photographed image even when photographing while a flash is lighted. SOLUTION: The control method for the imaging device having an imaging device (14), the flash (48) for lighting an object and a shutter switch (64) includes: a discrimination step S127 of discriminating whether or not photographing using the flash is made when the shutter switch instructs the photographing; a first photographing step S128 of storing a just preceding image obtained just after the instruction of the photographing by the shutter switch to a storage means; a second photographing step S129 of using the flash to photograph a target image; and a color temperature detecting step S703 of using the just preceding image and the target image to detect the color temperature of the target image.
