PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire retardant resin-coated metal pipe coated with a fire retardant resin composition having fire retardant properties preventing a harmful gas such as halogen gas or the like from being generated at the time of combustion and also having flexibility, easily cutting properties, easily drawing properties, and external damage resistance, in a resin-coated metal pipe to be used for a gas pipe, etc. SOLUTION: The fire retardant resin-coated metal pipe is produced by coating, on a metal pipe, the fire retardant resin composition obtained by blending 15 to 100 pts.wt. of a metal hydrate surface-treated with 1 to 25 wt.% of polyorganosiloxane with 100 pts.wt. of a polyolefin-based polymer, or the fire retardant resin composition obtained by blending 15 to 100 pts.wt. of a metal hydrate and 2 to 40 pts.wt. of polyorganosiloxane with 100 pts.wt. of a polyolefin-based polymer.
