PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush holder wherein the progress of wear in a brush is suppressed, the generation of electromagnetic noise is prevented, and the service life of a motor can be prolonged. SOLUTION: The brush holder 10 comprises the brush 14; a brush case 13 which houses the brush 14 so that the brush can be slid; and a torsion spring 16 which energizes the brush 14 toward a commutator 32. An oblique guide 13f which is oblique with respect to the direction of the slide of the brush 14, is formed at the side 13c of the brush case 13. The torsional spring 16 is so constituted while it abuts against the oblique guide 13f so as to energize the brush 14, until the brush 14 is worn to a predetermined length. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
