PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive objective lens support mechanism for an optical pickup which can suppress the skew deviation and misalignment of an objective lens for a long period of time and is adequate for thickness reduction. SOLUTION: A back substrate 11 of a laminated structure formed by holding four conductor plate patterns 12 consisting of elastic metallic sheets between cover films 13 is used and a central fixing section 11a of the back substrate 11 is fixed to a projecting part 3a of a support member 3 and one-side ends 4a of respective wires 4 are soldered to respective land parts 12a disposed at free ends 11b on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the back substrate 11 so that the respective wires 4 supporting a lens holder 2 can be held like a cantilever by free ends 11b of the back substrate 11. The land parts 12a are portions of the patterns 12 where the four patterns 12 are installed side by side without contact with each other. Also, external circuit connecting lands 14 respectively extended from the patterns 12 are kept projected outward from the section 11a of the back substrate 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
