USE OF CHLOROQUINE, HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE, AND 4-AMINO-QUINOLINIC ACID DERIVATIVE FOR OBTAINING ANTI-RETROVIRUS THERAPEUTIC AGENT HAVING ACTIVITY AGAINST HIV STRAIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for use, relating to pharmacological and therapeutical fields and in particular of chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, and 4-amino-quinolinic acid derivatives for obtaining an anti-retroviruse therapeutic agent having an activity against HIV sensitive strains and also having an activity against HIV strains which have resistance against current anti-HIV therapies. SOLUTION: At least one 4-amino-quinolinic acid derivative is used for obtaining an anti-retrovirus therapeutic agent, in particular a therapeutic agent for treating HIV infectious diseases caused by retrovirus strains which have sensitivity and/or resistance against known therapies. The 4-amino-quinolinic acid derivatives are chloroquine and/or hydroxychloroquine and the agent can be orally administered once or few times a day. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
