PURPOSE: A backward flow preventing device of a dish washer is provided to reduce manufacturing cost and to simplify manufacturing processes by using a low-priced synthetic resin plate. CONSTITUTION: A backward flow preventing device of a dish washer is composed of a guide(100) including a draining passage(101), an inflow port(106a) formed at the bottom of the guide and communicated with the draining passage, a draining port(106b) for guiding water in the draining passage into the outside of the dish washer, and a backward flow preventing plate(160). The backward flow preventing plate is rotatably connected to the inside of the guide by a hinge shaft(H), and opens/closes an upper unit of the inflow port. An insertion protrusion(162) is formed at the lower part of the backward flow preventing plate, and is inserted into the inflow port.
