STRUCTURE FOR ATTACHING GEARS TO FIXING ROLL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach gears to a fixing roll without deforming the fixing roll even when the fixing roll is thin in wall thickness in an structure for engaging and fixing the gears to the fixing roll used in the fixing device of an image forming apparatus.

SOLUTION: A restraining hole 101 is formed as a restraining part in the fixing roll 100 and the restraining part 112 consisting of a female screw hole is formed in a gear 110. The gear 110 and the fixing roll 100 are connected by a connecting member 120. The connecting member 120 is connected to the fixing roll 100 by having a projection 123 engaged to the restraining hole 101 and the member is connected to the gear 110 by being screwed into the restraining part 112 consisting of the female screw hole by having a screw 130 go through a through hole 122. The fixing roll 100 is hardly deformed even when the thickness of the wall is made thin since there is no need to form a groove from an end surface or form a a narrow groove for a C ring.
