摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage system for warming up an internal combustion engine in hybrid mechanism, in which it is not necessary to separately install a coolant circulation device that circulates coolant for the purpose of warming-up, thereby preventing increase in car weight due to its installation when it is installed on a car and increase in car production cost due to additional facilities. <P>SOLUTION: The heat storage system according to the present invention, includes the hybrid mechanism having the internal combustion engine 1 and an auxiliary power unit, a water pump 8 as the coolant circulation device that is connected to an output shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 and circulates the coolant in a coolant circulation passage formed in the internal combustion engine 1 by an engine output obtained from the internal combustion engine 1, and a heat storage container 9 storing at least some coolant circulated by the water pump 8. When the internal combustion engine 1 is started, the water pump 8 is operated by the internal combustion engine 1 driven by a drive unit provided outside of the internal combustion engine 1 and thus the coolant is circulated to warm up the internal combustion engine 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
