<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new DNA useful for screening a prophylactic, a remedy or a diagnostic agent for cerebral and neural diseases, etc., to provide a gene containing the DNA, to provide a new polypeptide encoded by the DNA, to provide a recombinant protein containing the polypeptide, and to provide an antibody to the new polypeptide. <P>SOLUTION: The DNA composed of a specific base sequence, the polypeptide composed of a part or the whole of an amino acid sequence identical or substantially identical to a specific amino acid sequence, and the other polypeptide composed of such an amino acid sequence that a part of the amino acids in the specific amino acid sequence are subjected to deletion, substitution, or addition and having biological activity substantially homologous to the above polypeptide are provided, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
