PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery which is high in volume energy density, excellent in hermeticity, and in safety from internal short-circuiting. SOLUTION: In this thin sealed battery, an electrode body having a positive electrode with a current collecting tub and a negative electrode with a current collecting tub is housed in an exterior body composed of a film with a metal and a resin laminated. The exterior body has tub projection sealing parts which are the top sides of the positive and negative current collecting tubs projecting out of the exterior body, and protection members are located at portions where the current collecting tubs overlap with the positive and negative electrodes, respectively. The tub projection part has a first region (41) close to the electrode body of the current collection tub, a second region (42) other than the first region and sealed by including a part of the current collecting tub at which the protection member is not located, and a third region (43) sealed only by the two films without other members. The exterior body thickness at the first region (41) is larger than either of the exterior body thickness at the second region (42) and the exterior body thickness at the third region (43).
