PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving body navigation device, a map information distribution device, a map information distribution system and a map information distribution method capable of reducing a communication time and a communication cost spent for updation by distributing minimum updated map information along a guide route of the moving body. SOLUTION: This navigation device is equipped with position detection means 114-116 of the moving body, a map information storage means 112, an input means 113 for inputting a route spot, a route search means for searching for the guide route from the present position through the route spot based on the map information, an output means 117 for displaying the retrieved guide route, a communication means 111 for acquiring the updated map information from the outside, and an updation means for updating the map information. The communication means 111 transmits block information of the map information along the guide route and new/old discrimination information to the outside, to thereby acquire the updated map information along the guide route from the outside.
