PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform connection setting for making E-mail available in an Internet facsimile apparatus. SOLUTION: When facsimile data are received via a public switched telephone network, processing is performed for converting an image at a predetermined keyword display position in an image represented by the received facsimile data into text data (S110). Successively, it is determined whether or not the text data resulting from converting processing are a keyword for setting information determination (S120). When the data are judged as the keyword for setting information determination (S120: YES), it is determined that the image represented by the received facsimile data indicates setting information to be used for connection setting for making E-mail available, processing is performed for converting all the images into text data (S140), and connection setting is performed by using the setting information resulting from converting processing (S150).
