PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording tape cartridge capable of preventing a leader member from dropping off from a holding part by falling impact. SOLUTION: This recording tape cartridge 10 provided with a case 12 for rotatably housing a single reel 14 around which a recording tape T is wounded, an opening part 20 formed on a side wall of the case 12 and for extracting a leader part attached to an end part of the recording tape T, the holding part 24 formed on the bottom and top surfaces of the case 12 and for holding the leader part 22 near the opening part 20, is provided with a notch 24C from the opening 20 toward the holding part 24 and also with a locking part 22C inserted into the notch 24C at both end parts of the leader part 22.
