PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high sensitivity heat developable photosensitive material having high development activity, little fog and excellent image preservability. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material comprising a photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent for a silver ion, a binder and non-photosensitive organic silver salt grains, 45-85 mol% of the non-photosensitive organic silver salt grains are silver behenate, erucic acid is included by 0.00001-10 mol% based on the sum of the numbers of moles of behenic acid and silver behenate, and zirconium is contained in an imaging layer by 0.001-5 mg per gram of silver.
