PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side wall structure and an execution method of a cryogenic underground storage tank in which the construction period is shortened and an execution cost is reduced. SOLUTION: A side wall structure of a cryogenic underground storage tank is formed of concrete placed between an inner circumferential surface of an underground continuous wall 1 and an outer circumferential surface of a cold insulation panel 3 provided on the inner side of the inner circumferential surface of the underground continuous wall. A cold insulation panel is provided on the inner side of the inner circumferential surface of the underground continuous wall. In a side wall execution method of the cryogenic underground storage tank, concrete is placed between the inner circumferential surface of the underground continuous wall and the outer circumferential surface of the cold insulation panel.
