PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device not requiring a large space on the hall side of a hatch door and capable of separating the installation of the elevator device from installation of a fireproof shutter device. SOLUTION: The elevator device and its installing method include a three-sided frame 12 (13, 14, 13A, 14A) to bound the gateway 5 of the elevator, and a guide means 35 to guide a shutter 31 on its two side across the width in he vertical direction is mounted removably on the frame.
