PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt-shaped string which does not break easily even if a tensile force acts on the string to concentrate a stress on the edge of the string. SOLUTION: The belt-shaped string has a reinforced part formed by folding a plurality of belt-shaped members longitudinally to overlap them each other along at least one of both longitudinal edges of the string. The belt-shaped members forming the reinforced part may be fixed to each other, or may be more than three sheets of them, or may form the reinforced parts along both edges of the string.
