PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supplying method of a color matching coating material using a granular color material in a coating material, ink, or the like. SOLUTION: In the supplying method of the color matching coating material comprising metering formulating at least one granular color material to a base coating material, agitation mixing them, and supplying the color matching coating material, a selection of the granular color material and its amount of formulation are automatically decided from a tone data base created beforehand by inputting a requested color or a colorimetric result of an existing color to a computer and inputting base coating material weight, and distribution of the granular color material is controlled. A metering tone system using in the supplying method of the tone coating material comprises a controlling means which decides a selection of the granular material and its amount of formulation from the color matching data base created beforehand by a colorimetric result of the requested color or the existing color and base coating material weight, a means for a selection and metering the granular material by dictating from the controlling means, and a means for distribution of the metered granular material to a vessel in which the base coating material is contained, and for uniformly agitation mixing them therein.
