PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting apparatus which can cut a rubber sheet in a predetermined length without damaging or cutting a steel cord in the rubber sheet by a knife. SOLUTION: The cutting apparatus comprises a push-up mechanism 2 having a push-up member 4 which is provided below the rubber sheet 31 in the feeding direction at predetermined intervals and can move in the vertical direction and push up the rubber sheet 31 during the upper movement thereof, and a cutting mechanism 6 having the knife 10, which is provided above the rubber sheet 31, for cutting the rubber sheet 31 in the width direction by sticking the rubber sheet 31 when the rubber sheet 31 is pushed up by the push-up member 4 and moving the rubber sheet 31 in the width direction. When the knife 10 runs up on the steel cord, the rubber sheet 31 slightly moves on the push-up member 4, which makes the knife 10 apart from the steel cord and prevents the steel cord from being damaged or cut by the knife 10.
