The differential pressure warning device has an air feed (6) from a higher pressure side (P) to a lower pressure side (A) that can be closed by a valve (5) controlled by a control lever that interacts with the opening mechanism (4). An audible signal is generated when the valve is opened and a differential pressure exists. The valve is connected to a signal generator, e.g. a whistle, for generating the audible signal.
