<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device for preventing toner leakage more effectively than before, and to improve the maintainability of the device in order to solve the problem of stains by toner leaking from both ends of the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: A napped first sealing member 9 is provided in a gap 11 between both end faces W of a developing roller 4 and both side faces X on the inner side of a developing device case body 3 in such a manner that the tip is abutted on or brought close to both end faces W of the developing roller 4, and a felt-like second sealing member 10 is provided so as to cover the side facing an image carrier 1, of the first sealing member 9. Also, a third sealing member 13 having a smooth surface is provided so as to shield a gap 12 in an axial direction between the developing roller 4 of both end parts W of the developing roller 4 and both side faces Y on the outer side of the developing device casing 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
