MULTIMEDIA COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD, MULTIMEDIA COMMUNICATION CONTROL SERVER AND MULTIMEDIA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit proper multimedia data in accordance with the band of a network.

SOLUTION: A server 30 is provided with: a plurality of video files 10x each storing video data corresponding to a plurality of predetermined transmission rate divisions; and a management table 20 wherein transmission rate groups found in advance are arrayed with transmission rates as keys for each of combination of video files and methods of frame thinning to the video data. The server 30 detects the band of a broadband network 40, selects a transmission rate out of the management table 20 on the basis of the detected band and request information (of whether a picture quality of video or smoothness of a motion is to be regarded important) from a terminal user with respect to reproduction of video data, and transmits the video data to a terminal 50 via the broadband network 40 with the selected transmission rate.
