<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to know whether a displayed data item is the updated newest one or contains an old content, and to thereby perform driving guided by navigation without anxiety. <P>SOLUTION: In this on-vehicle navigation device for receiving differential data and updating a database, freshness information of data is displayed together with the displayed data item based on the differential data and a stored content of the database before updation. For example, the freshness information includes information for showing the degree of freshness of the displayed data item.
