<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a two-way clutch of a rotation transmission device from being engaged at idle rotation time of an internal member. <P>SOLUTION: A roller 14 is incorporated between a cylindrical surface 12 formed on the inner peripheral side of an outer race 5 and a cam surface 13 of a cam ring 4. A rotor 40 for preventing rotation by the outer race 5, an armature 41 for preventing rotation to a cage 5 and movably supported in the shaft direction, a separating spring 46 for pressing the armature 41 in the direction for separating from the rotor 40 and an engaging plate 42 for preventing rotation to the cam ring 4 and immovably supported in the shaft direction by the armature 41 are incorporated between the two-way clutch 10 for holding the roller 14 by the cage 15 and an electromagnet 30 for controlling engagement of the two-way clutch 10. A rotation preventive mechanism 50 is arranged between the mutual engaging plate 42 and armature 41. When the engaging plate 42 and the armature 41 relatively rotate by a prescribed angle at idle rotation time of the cam ring 4, the armature 41 is prevented from rotating by the cam ring 4 by operating the rotation preventive mechanism 50, and the roller 14 is prevented from engaging with the cylindrical surface 12 and the cam surface 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
