PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device to which a belt type fixing device is mounted to realize high thermal efficiency, short temperature rise time during a warming up time and uniform fixing. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a belt type fixing device 24 which has a fixing belt 260 that is used to apply pressure and heat to an unfixed toner image on a transfer material so as to fix the image. A heating member comes into uniform contact with the belt 260 along its width direction and heats the belt 260. Portions close to the both ends of the member are constituted of a material having practically low heat conductivity or constituted by joining connecting members having low heat conductivity.
