PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that attachment of a metallic reinforcing ring to the front end of a zoom ring or a focus ring obstructs reduction of the number of parts and reduction of cost. SOLUTION: A lens barrel has a plurality of lens holding members for holding lenses respectively, fixed cylinders 2 and 3 for storing the plurality of lens holding members therein, and first and second operation rings 6 and 4 rotatively operated to move two lens holding members 8 and 10 out of the plurality of lens holding members in the direction of an optical axis, respectively, and the first operation ring is arranged on the outer periphery of fixed cylinders so that it can be rotatively slid, and at least a part of the second operation ring is arranged on the inner periphery of fixed cylinders so that it can be rotatively slid.
