PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting part structure of the cable end and a shift lever device easier in installation work for installing a cable in a base body than conventional work. SOLUTION: This connecting part structure 1 of the cable end and the shift lever device has a stopper member 3 installed in the base body 2 and the cable end 5 installed on the ignition key side or in an end part on the opposite side of the brake side. A groove 6 opening in the direction orthogonal to the cable extending direction is arranged in one of the stopper member 3 and the cable end 5. Both members are connected by fitting the other of the stopper member 3 and the cable end 5 in the groove 6 in the direction orthogonal to the cable extending direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
