PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow fence formed of a new structure making it possible to prevent strong winds or snow storms from blowing against pedestrians, relating to a snow protection facility that is installed on the windward side of a road, parking lot or other above-ground part for snow protection in order to prevent snow from blowing and collecting in the above-ground part in snow storms while also preventing whiteouts, etc. SOLUTION: The snow fence 1 comprises a plurality of snow protection plates 3 bridged between posts 2, 2 which adjoin each other along the windward side. An opening/closing angle adjusting mechanism 4, which enables the snow protection plates to selectively assume any of three positions, a blocking position, a blow-away position, and a passing position, or two of the positions with either of the plates not assuming the blow-away position, and to be temporarily fixed in these positions, is provided between the snow protection plates 3, 3 and the posts 2, 2 at about 1-2 m from the ground.
