PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-base white pigment composition which, when used for e.g. an aqueous eraser solution for an eraser pen, hardly settles in the eraser pen even when left to stand for a long time because of good dispersibility of the white pigment therein, facilitates the dispersion of settled material in the solution because of good redispersibility of the settled material, makes it easy to recognize the solidification of a coating film, and does not cause the disturbance of the coating film at the time of rewriting. SOLUTION: The pigment composition comprises essentially a white pigment, water, a water-soluble solvent and a film-forming resin, and an additive added if necessary. The white pigment used comprises a magnesium-base metal oxide solid solution comprising a solid solution of magnesium hydroxide with a divalent metal ion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
