PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a trash collecting box from greatly projecting to a road after finishing the collection in a trash collecting day, prevent it from obstructing the passing of pedestrians and automobiles, improving the usability by facilitating the opening/closing operation such as folding and expanding the trash collecting box in a single operation, and preventing it from spoiling the surrounding landscape when installing the trash collecting box on a roadside. SOLUTION: This trash collecting box 1 installed on the roadside is so formed that the rear ends of left/right side enclosure members 3 comprising front/rear divided members 3a and 3b folded inward into a flat shape are rotationally journaled to the left/right both end parts of the rear side enclosure member 2 and the end of the front side enclosure member 4 is rotationally journaled to the front end of the left/right side enclosure members 3.
