PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data synchronization system which suppresses possibility of an occurrence of elongated communication time or an error during the data synchronization by automatically initiating the data synchronization with an appropriate data transmission volume. SOLUTION: A server 10 is connected to a client 21 with a database 211 via network 3. The server 10 is constituted with an update log DB 102 for storing the update contents for a database 101 held by the server itself as the update log, and a storage part 105 for storing a threshold value to initiate the data synchronization depending on how many the update logs to be required for the data synchronization with the client 21 are stored on the update log DB 102. Further, the server extracts the update logs requiring the data synchronization from the update log DB 102, and the data synchronization for the database 101 and the database 211 is initialized when the number of the extrated update logs exceeds the above threshold value.
