An apparatus for continuously producing matured compost-like substance, comprising a vertical container (1) that has in its upper part a charging opening (2) for organic waste and has in its lower part a discharging opening (23) for a heat-treated substance, heat transmission boards (4) provided in the container (1) in a multi-stepped manner or spiral manner, and moving means for moving a substance to be treated in the container (1) from the charging opening (2) to the discharging opening (3). A compost-like substance is continuously produced by heating and drying a substance to be treated in the container (1), and further heating it at a temperature between 100-200°C.
