Acoustic free communication uses personal computer and text messaging over mobile phone network with conversion into speech

The acoustic free communication system has information transmitted in the form of text or short messaging service, SMS, data. In one version text data can be transmitted from a PC (13) and interface (17) using a Bluetooth link to a telephone network (3,7). Alternatively a telephone producing text can be used. The PC has a facility for conversion of text into a spoken form.
