OPTICAL SWITCH

PURPOSE: An optical switch is provided to lower failure probability, reduce transmission loss, and decreases a size. CONSTITUTION: An optical switch(10) switches between a plurality of main light emitters(11) respectively emitting light components having wavelengths different from each other and a backup light emitter(12) adapted to replace any of the main light emitters(11). The optical switch(10) switches from one failed main light emitter(11) to the backup light emitter(12). An optical switch(20) switches from one failed main light receiver(21) to a backup light receiver(22).
