PURPOSE: A hydraulic assist device of a shift cable for a manual transmission is provided to reduce the power required when a driver shifts gears by using hydraulic pressure and improve shift shock or shift feeling. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic assist device of a shift cable(30) for a manual transmission comprises a piston(42) formed to the peripheral surface of a side of the shift cable; a cylinder(50) in which the piston is movably installed; and a hydraulic pressure supply unit(60) supplying hydraulic pressure to the inside of the cylinder, to give the hydraulic pressure to the piston in operating a gearshift lever. The shift cable is passed through the ends of the cylinder. The piston is protruded from the shift cable in a disk shape. The cylinder is fixed to a vehicle body in a longitudinal direction of the shift cable.
