<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a special paper management system and a special paper identification method in which even special papers of the same type having the same dot pattern are respectively identified as different special papers in an electronic pen system for digitizing a character or a graphic of handwriting on a special paper by reading a dot pattern printed on the special paper with an electronic pen. <P>SOLUTION: When creating a document 105 by printing a document form on a special paper 102, in a printer 104, a dot pattern of the special paper 102 is read, and an identification mark such as a bar code is printed on a special paper having the same pattern. When a user performs write on the document 105 by using an electronic pen 102, a check mark is described on a portion of the identification mark. With the electronic pen 101, written contents and the check mark are digitized and transmitted to an apparatus 103. With a means 115 in the apparatus 103, based upon digitized data of the check mark, the original identification mark is restored and based upon the identification mark, the special paper 102 is identified or the document form printed on the special paper 102 is specified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
