<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner that prevents occurrence of a gap between an apex surface of a heat exchanger and a heat insulating material even with a relatively simple configuration, and that prevents occurrence of condensation and improves the heat exchange efficiency, and that contributes to reduction in manufacturing cost by improving assembling workability without requiring any additional components particularly. <P>SOLUTION: This indoor units includes a housing (metal plate housing) 21 having a top board portion 21b, a side board portion 21c and an insulating material 22 set into its inner surface, and an indoor unit body 20 having an opening portion formed on the lower surface is fitted into the ceiling board opening and fixed under the roof, and a heat exchanger 24 and a blower 23 are contained inside the body 20, and a projection 30 for sealing is formed integrally on the insulating material 22 at the top board to be abut with the entire circumference of the apex surface S of the heat exchanger 24 and air flow between the heat exchanger and the insulating material is blocked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
