<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon monoxide removing apparatus in which the start-up time can be shortened in a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of passages formed in a coolant layer 4 to exchange heat with a catalyst layer 3 are composed of first passages 8 in contact with the catalyst layer 3 and second passages 9 connected to the catalyst layer 3 through the first passages 8 and allowing the same coolant to pass as in the first passages 8. The distribution of the flow amount of the coolant to the passages 8, 9 is controlled according to the entrance temperature of the coolant which reflects the operational state of the carbon monoxide removing apparatus 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
