<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain oily ink for a ink-jet printer, which comprises a colorant uniformly dispersed in a fine particle, has excellent dispersion stability of colorant dispersion, high discharge stability causing no clogging at a nozzle part, excellent drying properties on recording paper, water resistance and light resistance of recorded image and has high scratch resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The oily ink for the ink-jet printer is obtained by subjecting a dispersion which contains at least one kind of a monofunctional polymerizable monomer (M) and at least one kind of a dispersion stabilizer (P) comprising a block copolymer as a main component consisting of a polymer component A soluble in a nonaqueous solvent and a polymer component B insoluble in the nonaqueous solvent to dispersion polymerization in the presence of a polymerization initiator in the nonaqueous solvent having 1.5-20 dielectric constant and 15-60 mN/m surface tension (at 25°C) by using a coloring component fine particle as a seed particle obtained by dispersing the coloring component obtained by subjecting a colorant to surface treatment into the nonaqueous solvent in a fine particle state to give a colored resin particle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
