<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently achieve preferable print quality by reducing a difference in quality of photo prints prepared from a negative film on which the same object is photographed. <P>SOLUTION: An image processor 21a specifies a type of an image pickup device. Standardization processing to make reflection density to be 0.6-0.8 on an output medium for each type of the image pickup device is applied to image data in which an object with reflection density of 0.7 is photographed, and image data for scene reference are generated. Conditions for prescribed image processing are optimized by using the image data for scene reference. The optimized conditions for the prescribed image processing are stored for every image pickup device type. Gradation correction is set so as to make an average value of the image dada become reflection density of 0.6-0.8 on the output medium, and to make γ for the leg and the shoulder become smaller than γ for the abdomen, and is applied to the image data obtained by applying the optimized conditions for the image processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
