<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce the n-th component of RRO of a wheel rim with a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: The valley position P and RRO value X of the n-th component in an average curve Y of RRO curves of both rim sheets 2 are determined from the RRO curves. A correction tape 3 having a thickness t of 0.1-0.5mm and a circumferential length L is stuck to the circumferential surface and valley position P of one or both of the rim sheets 2. The circumferential length L satisfies the following expressions (1) an (2): 0.8×L0≤L≤1.2×LO (1) and LO=[sin<SP>-1</SP>äX/(t×a×1.3)}]äR/(π×n)} (2), wherein a is a coefficient (0.5 when the correction tape is stuck to one rim sheet, and 1.0 when to both the rim sheets), and R is the circumferential length of the rim sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
