PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development apparatus for not shifting the relative position of a layer thickness control member to a developer carrier, an image forming apparatus, and a computer system. SOLUTION: The development apparatus is provided with the developer carrier provided with a turning shaft and turnable around the turning shaft for carrying a developer, a bearing member for receiving the turning shaft of the developer carrier, and a layer thickness control unit provided with the layer thickness control member for controlling the layer thickness of the developer carried by the developer carrier.
