PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnostic device and diagnostic method considering a physical damage received by a coolant related part of facility equipment having a coolant circuit. SOLUTION: This failure diagnostic device has a station 2. The station 2 is constituted to perform the failure diagnosis of the coolant related part 31a of air conditioners 31 and 32 having the coolant circuit, and provided with a storage part 23, an information acquisition part 21, and a failure diagnostic part 22. The storage part 23 stores a plurality of state levels 101, 102, 103 and 104 obtained by preliminarily dividing the date of a specified parameter of the coolant related part 31a, and weight coefficients set to the state levels 101, 102, 103 and 104, respectively. The information acquisition part 21 acquires the state of the specified parameter of the coolant related part 31a. The failure diagnostic part 22 integrates the weight coefficients set to the state levels 101, 102, 103 and 104 determined from the state acquired by the information acquisition part 21, and performs the failure diagnosis of the coolant related part 31a based on the integrated value.
