PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform winding to a slot of a stator core in which the width of the open slot is smaller than the diameter of a wire. SOLUTION: A tension device of the wire, a gripper device 30, a wire guide device 40 and a wire feed device 50 are arranged at each side of a core 1 that is index-rotatably mounted to a core hold frame 12. The wire discharged from a nozzle 57 of the wire feed device 50 is penetrated to the first slot in parallel with the direction of the axis X of the core 1, gripped by the gripper device 30, and drawn out in the direction of the axis X, to turn at an angle of 180°a turning member that slide-contacts with a roller of the tension device. The wire is folded in the reverse direction and penetrated to the second slot, thus performing winding. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
