PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical function element that can improve emission light take-out efficiency from a light-emitting element, and to provide a method for easily manufacturing the optical functional element. SOLUTION: The optical function element is used in addition to a light-emitting element where the refractive index of an emitting section is larger than that of air. A repetitive structure (cycle structure) made of a light absorption material having a period that becomes specific ratio to an emission wavelength is formed in the light emission surface.
