PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread grinder capable of keeping the straightness of a thread shaft against grinding resistance in grinding a thread groove, dispensing with troublesome adjustment, and grinding the thread groove with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A work fixing platform 4 provided with a V-shaped work positioning groove 40 is mounted on a work table, and a thread shaft 3 is set in the work positioning groove 40, without supporting both ends of the thread shaft 3 as an object to be worked on a work table as is done in a conventional thread grinder, and the thread shaft 3 set in the positioning groove 40 is cut by a grinding wheel 6 coming from its vertical upper part.
