PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smell presentation system for presenting a desired smell locally to a nose of an organism of a human or others. SOLUTION: A smell presentation system 10 includes a computer 12 which analyzes the images photographed with a first camera 14a and a second camera 14b, judges a timing to emit a smell, and determines the smell to be presented. Moreover, by means of trigonometrical survey method, three dimensional position of human nose is specified and at least either one of an elevating motor 20 or a turning motor 22 is operated to control an emission hole of an air gun 24 to turn for the nose. After that, at least one of heads 26a to 26c selected according to the smell to be presented is operated, and solenoid 18 is excited, for giving a pressure on the air gun 24 by the operation of plunger 32 connected with the solenoid 18 mechanically. Then, smell particle puffed out of heads 26a to 26c is emitted at the human nose. According to the invention, the smell is presented to any specific target with no trouble in fixing the device to the person. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
