MULTILAYER FILMS

An oriented multilayer film containing a core layer and a first skin layer, wherein the first skin layer includes a metallocene-catalyzed propylene homopolymer or copolymer, and the first skin layer is metallized. The film may also contain additional layers, such as a second skin layer for heat-sealing, and one or more tie layers. The film may be laminated to other films or non-films. The film exhibits desirable water vapor transmission rates (WVTR) and oxygen transmission rates (OTR).
